Annual Race from St. Simons Island to Amelia Island
Rescheduled from October 12 because of Hurricane Milton, now on November 23. The GA-FL Ocean Challenge race is hosted by the Amelia Island Sailing Club. This race pits GISC against the AISC in a club versus club team event. You can take individual honors, while helping GISC vanquish the AISC. The race begins in the St. Simons Channel and ends in the St. Mary's River entrance. An awards ceremony in Fernandina follows the race. Start time and awards ceremony time are set at the skippers' meeting (Friday evening, Nov 22, at Golden Isles Marina).
