About US

With over 50 members , GISC enjoys a wonderful tradition of sailing and social interaction. Our mission is to provide an environment for our members and families to pursue the highest ideals of sailing, racing and sportsmanship.

Our club...

- holds monthly meetings at local restaurants or special venues

- socializes and learns from speakers on topics of interest to our membership

- conducts races for sailboats in the spring and fall when the winds are best

- arranges cruises for power and sailboats for overnight stays or an afternoon raft-up

- holds special meetings for 4th of July and Christmas.

- also hosts an annual oyster roast and chili cook off.

- promotes youth sailing by assisting in HS regattas and summer camps

- members are not required to own a boat
